The French bank Caisse des Depots et Consignations and the UK-based Universities Superannuation Scheme have joined the Responsible Investment Initiative, a project to develop global principles for responsible investment. Work on the project was set up at the behest of the United Nations last year (EP6, issue 4, p4) and began last month, with the aim of agreeing principles by September this year.
