Medical firm to report next year

Medical equipment manufacturer Nycomed-Amersham is to produce its first standalone environment report at the end of next year.

The report will also cover community involvement and health and safety issues.

The main products of the Buckinghamshire-based company are diagnostic imaging agents used in X-rays and scans, but it also makes equipment for biotechnology research and drug testing.

Nycomed-Amersham has factories in the US, China, Japan and some parts of Europe.
