DaimlerChrysler has comfortably topped a new ‘fat cat’ pay league in Germany. The car company’s directors had an average annual remuneration of €3.7million ($4.6m, £2.5m) in 2002, more than e1.6m higher than the amount received by directors at the next highest-paying company on the list, Deutsche Bank. The league table was compiled by German shareholder association DSW.
