Assets in UK ethical retail funds now stand at £4.2billion ($7.5bn), according to Ethical Investment Research Services. Eiris says the record level has been reached despite a general fall in all retail assets under management to £243bn at the end of January from a peak of £251bn in 2001. The £4.2bn figure does not include funds whose sole ethical criterion is the exclusion of tobacco stocks.
