At least five operating companies of Vodafone are to produce local corporate social responsibility reports over the next year-and-a-half. The UK-based telecoms company, which published its third group-wide report last month, expects local reports to be produced in Australia, Ireland, Italy, New Zealand and Spain by June 2005. By the same date it will develop an internal communication and training programme ‘to deliver a measurable increase in the number of employees who understand the importance of social and environmental issues as they relate to Vodafone’s business’.
