Adidas wins praise for CSR

Adidas-Salomon is the best-performing company in the global sports shoe industry, according to a Belgian socially responsible investment analyst firm.

A six-month long study of the sector by Stock at Stake concluded that the Germany-based multinational is ‘clearly best in class in all fields of corporate social responsibility’ and added that some of the criticism levelled by pressure groups at the firm on workplace standards of suppliers ‘is outdated and no longer matches the actual CSR performance’.
