Alcoa steps up its reporting

Aluminium giant Alcoa is to publish a combined environmental and community report alongside its financial annual report this year.

The world’s largest aluminium producer said this would ‘pave the way for broader integrated reporting’ of its ethical performance.

Earlier this year it produced an online environment, health and safety report – its 10th – which shows that the company has reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 23 per cent against a 1990 baseline.
