The investment arm of Barclays Bank is to pay recruitment agencies a 25 per cent bonus for finding women and ethnic minorities to fill its senior jobs. Barclays Capital, which employs 5600 staff around the world, said the move was ‘a naturally commercial approach to something we think is important.’ However, it has not set targets for the numbers it wants to recruit.
