US energy company Entergy has donated $1.2million (£760,000) to create energy savings programmes for low income families. The programmes will run in Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi over the next two years with the aim of ‘helping people break the cycle of poverty’. Entergy, which has an annual turnover of $10billion, delivers electricity to 2.6 million customers in the three states.
