Life sciences company Amersham has published its first combined social and environmental report.

Amersham, which employs 9500 people around the world, says it will report on its progress again in two years’ time.

The unverified web-based document shows that since 1998, the company has reduced the frequency of lost-time accidents by 31 per cent – better than the target it set four years ago. It also reveals that 40 per cent of the staff are women, but only 25 per cent of managers are female.
