B&Q’s sustainable development policies have won it a 2002 European Business Award for the Environment. The UK-based DIY chain was among ten companies to win awards presented by the European Commission in one of four categories. It was praised for introducing ‘innovative solutions that address the environmental and social impacts of the company, whilst adding value to its business and reputation’.
