BP offers help to East Timor

A scheme to help raise living standards in East Timor has been launched by BP in conjunction with the Save the Children Fund and the United Nations Development Programme.

The oil company will donate £61,000 ($95,000) through its BP Foundation to help fund development strategies and support a microfinance programme for small businesses.
