Nike has released its first corporate responsibility report.
The document, which uses Global Reporting Initiative guidelines, concentrates mainly on labour standards and the environment. It shows that the US-based clothes company now has more than 30 employees overseeing standards at its 750 contract factory sites.
Nike recently joined WWF’s Climate Savers programme. The voluntary initiative will reduce greenhouse gas emissions from Nike-owned operations and from contractor factories.
