The ethical policies of 22 UK high street banks and building societies have been reviewed by the Ethical Investment Research Service. The review is based on a survey of banks’ policies on lending to the arms trade and companies operating in oppressive regimes, and on their policies in the areas of human rights and financial exclusion.
