A preliminary court hearing on a landmark corporate liability case against the mining company Cape will be held this month at the High Court in London. British-based Cape is being sued for damages by more than 3000 South African miners and their families suffering from the effects of asbestosis (EP4, 2000). The full case is expected to begin early next year.
