HP Opens New 150,000 Square Foot 3D Printing and Digital Manufacturing Center of Excellence

Today, HP Inc. opened the doors to its new 3D Printing and Digital Manufacturing Center of Excellence in Barcelona, Spain, one of the world’s largest and most advanced research and development facilities for the next-generation technologies powering the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The new Center brings together hundreds of the world’s leading additive manufacturing experts in more than 150,000 square feet of cutting-edge innovation space – about the size of three football fields – to transform the way the world designs and manufactures. 

2020 Chevrolet Bolt EV to Offer 259 Miles of Range

The game-changing Chevrolet Bolt EV will now take customers even farther. Starting with model year 2020, the Bolt EV will offer a remarkable EPA-estimated 259 miles of range on a full charge[1], a 21-mile increase over previous model years. The Chevrolet Bolt EV’s winning combination of long range and affordability continues to attract new customers to the electric vehicle segment, and the 2020 Bolt EV will allow them to travel farther between charging sessions.

Diode Ventures and Tenebris Fiber Agree to Co-Develop Long-Haul Dark Fiber Route in Virginia

Diode Ventures, a global turnkey asset development company, and Tenebris Fiber, a dark fiber provider in Virginia, have agreed to co-develop an approximate 630-mile network from Virginia Beach, VA to Ashburn, VA to offer dark fiber services in Virginia. The network will connect the VA Beach Landing Station to public and private data centers and network operators situated along the world’s most highly trafficked Internet route.

Bridgestone EMEA Prepares for the Future with €36 Million Commitment to Smart Factory Project

Bridgestone EMEA announces today it is investing €36 million to digitise its manufacturing operations and create the smart factories of the future. From 2019 onwards, the project will enable Bridgestone EMEA to respond faster and more flexibly to evolving customer demands, while enabling production to use less energy and produce less waste. Project Update: What's New at the MCAS Miramar Microgrid

Completion of Energy & Water Operations Center (EWOC)

One of the most integral components of the MCAS Miramar microgrid is now operational. Construction is complete for the new Energy and Water Operations Center (EWOC), where the microgrid system will be monitored, controlled and managed. The EWOC provides operators with direct control of integrated microgrid control system, utilizing Schneider Electric’s OASyS SCADA software, as well as other utility and energy control systems.
